Kestrel with a mixed train

Kestrel was hauling the up 4.10 pm from Aldwincle. Wonderful steam plumes in the late afternoon dampness.

The train was a bogie brake, an empty open bogie wagon, two four-wheelers of coal and three Evensford panelled carriages.

Here Kestrel passes the Short Wood crossing, already working hard at the start of the bank.
